Del Hunter Morrill, a full-time Personal Guide and Hypnotherapist of the State of Washington, specializes in issues such as depression and anxiety, chronic health problems, learning and memory issues, stage and athletic performance, confidence and success, and all kinds of children’s problems. She has been doing personal guidance for over 50 years, and using hypnotic methods in her practice since 1986. She has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Hypnotherapy, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. In 2008 she received national certification as a clinical hypnotherapist through the National Board of Hypnotists.
Del’s training in hypnotherapy includes the Center for Ethical Hypnosis in Illinois, the Charles Tebbetts Training Program, and St. John’s University. She trained in psychology and sociology at the University of Washington and Northwestern University. In-depth study and research in personal and community transformation methods with the Institute of Cultural Affairs led Del to work in personal and social change for 20 years in Seattle, Chicago, New York City, and Japan. She now practices in Tacoma, Washington.
In 2011 Del received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Alliance of Professional Hypnotists (IAPH). She received the 2003 Special Achievement Award for Outstanding Dedication and Achievement in the Art and Science of Hypnotherapy from the Professional Board of Hypnotherapy. She was nominated Woman of the Year in 1997 and Hypnosis Woman of the Century in 2000 for the International Hypnosis Hall of Fame.
Del’s authorship includes magazine and journal articles, and the Great Escapes volumes of professional scripts and other resources for hypnotherapists and counselors, for which she received the Hypnotherapy Author of the Year Award. Her scripts and other materials are used in over 38 countries and protectorates, and are being translated into French, Spanish, Danish and Chinese. Her course on The Use of Hypnosis with Children is taught in doctoral programs of Canada and the USA and in China by a former student.
Del is an active member of the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapists Association (IMDHA), the International Association of Counselors and Therapists (IACT), and the National League of Medical Hypnotherapists.
