Chapter President, Chrysta Anderson, presented Your Authentic
Self: Your
Client’s Passport to Progress. This presentation
focused on increasing hypnotists’ effectiveness by supporting
clients to shift their context. The journey is to move from
‘consumer mind’, a context in which a person is viewed as having
no power, to ‘transmuter mind’, the true nature of a person
which recognizes that we create our experience. Key to the
transmuter mind is the commitment to being ones authentic self
in place of the fake self we made up historically in fear.

Del's presentation will bring awareness of how to handle and
"read" child clients, give practical suggestions of both inductions and
prescriptions, and tips on building rapport with both children and
parents. |

Del's background: Del has a MS degree in Clinical Hypnotherapy,
a BS degree in Psychology, is trained in Pediatric Hypnosis, and
is certified as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Hypnobirther by St John's
University. Nominated "Woman of the Year" and "Hypnosis Woman of the
Century" by the International Hypnosis Hall of Fame, Del is also the
author of the Great Escapes
volumes of therapeutic induction scripts and "New Beginnings"
recordings. Del's curriculum for working with children is used in
doctoral programs in the US and Canada and her course on Hypnosis with
Children is being taught in China by a former student. |

How To Get Medical Referrals
Howard Batie shared his expertise and
experiences in the area of medical referrals. His talk includes
specific pre-talk information to help you decide if a medical
referral is required and the client information that should be
provided with a referral request. He describes the credentials
that favorably impress physicians and the words or phrases to be
used or avoided by the hypnotherapist. You will learn how and
when to report results to the referring physician. In addition,
Howard provides handouts showing the complete process he uses to
get nearly 100% positive responses to his referral requests.
Howard Batie is the Director of the Evergreen
Healing Arts Center in Chehalis, WA. He has worked as a
Complementary Medical Hypnotherapist and adjunct practitioner
under medical referral from nearly two dozen physicians in the
local Lewis County area and beyond. He specializes in the use of
hypnosis for pain management, stress release and improved
self-awareness.
